THE DEFINITION OF TRADITIONAL KARATE-DO.

THE DEFINITION OF TRADITIONAL KARATE-DO.

"VICTORY IS NOT THE ONLY AIM OF TRADITIONAL KARATE. TRADITIONAL KARATE IS AN ART OF DEFENSE THAT USES THE HUMAN BODY AS EFFICIENTLY AS POSSIBLE: BLOCKING, PUNCHING, STRIKING AND KICKING TECHNIQUES IN SPECIFIC COMBINATIONS". (article.1, section 1.3 of The International Traditional Karate Federation'sConstitution.)
Through Traditional Karate the student / practioner can understand the way to increase and improve his or her mental and physical capabilities. Through a constant search to improve the techniques an improvement in their "human" capacity also happens. While each level can be well defined through the execution of techniques, the development of Traditional Karate has no limits; the search to expand and improve our human potential requires continious effort.
